Configure Wordfence to allow ProveSource endpoints

If you're using the Wordfence security plugin on your WordPress site, it may block ProveSource from loading correctly. Follow the steps below to whitelist ProveSource and ensure your social proof notifications display without issues.

Step 1: Log in to WordPress and Access Wordfence

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Wordfence > Firewall.

Step 2: Switch the Firewall to Learning Mode (Optional but Recommended)

Before whitelisting ProveSource, you can temporarily set the firewall to Learning Mode:

  1. Under the Firewall Status, click the dropdown and select Learning Mode.

  2. This prevents false positives while you're testing ProveSource.

Don’t forget to switch back to Enabled and Protecting after setup.

Step 3: Whitelist ProveSource Endpoints

Go to Wordfence > Firewall > Tools > Allowlisted URLs, and add:

Step 4: Check Live Traffic (Optional)

If ProveSource still isn't showing:

  1. Go to Wordfence > Tools > Live Traffic.

  2. Look for any blocked requests related to provesrc.com.

  3. Click Whitelist next to any blocked request you identify.

Step 5: Save and Test

  1. Clear your site and browser cache.

  2. Visit your website and confirm ProveSource notifications are now showing.

  3. Return to the firewall settings and switch back from Learning Mode if you enabled it earlier.
